WVU Club Successes

Abby Tillema (she/her) completed the WVU MD/PhD Summer Internship, and was awarded the Mon Health Foundation Health Career Scholarship and PFG Scholarship.

Aubrey Cumberledge (she/her) was awarded the Robert Deeds Natural Science Scholarship. She also completed her Crisis Text Line Counselor training and has talked with 115+ texters in need as of date.

Amirah Mitchell (she/her) spent the summer with the WVU SURE program, researching her project titled “A Deep Learning Approach to Understand Emotion”. She won Runner Up for the Physical Science & Engineering Section of WVU’s 14th Annual Summer Research Symposium.

Garrett Bender (he/they) was awarded an Eberly College of Arts and Sciences departmental scholarship.

Jordan Means (she/her) was awarded the Gilman Scholarship and spent the summer interning in Ireland. She worked on leadership psychology classes with ELIS Advantage.

Sarah Titta (they/them) was awarded a WVU Geology & Geography scholarship.

Taya Sullivan (she/her) spent the summer with the WVU SURE program, researching her project titled “Lights Out? The Effect of Exposure to Artificial Light at Night on Metabolism”. She won Runner Up for the Health Sciences Section at WVU’s 14th Annual Summer Symposium.

Tristan Walker (he/him) was awarded a Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources departmental scholarship.
