WVU’s Campus Highlights

-Oscar Enriquez and Garrett Bender were awarded the Burt-Steele Scholarship

-The Allegheny chapter of the American Society for Microbiology is having a conference November 4-5 with abstracts due Oct. 4.

-Aubrey Cumberledge was invited to a roundtable discussion with US Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona on Sept 14th to discuss the importance of mental health in higher education. We talked about the ways COVID has impacted education and the norms of seeking mental health treatment. I was able to talk about the importance of affordable and flexible treatment options, especially for first-generation and low-income students!
