First2’s Sarah Starcovic is Involved in “Molecular Scissors” Research

Researchers at the School of Medicine Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine are now able to view synthetic DNA at the atomic level, giving them the ability to understand how to change its structure. Such understanding could be key to unlocking new technology for medical diagnoses and treatments. Former First2 participant and current WVU graduate student, Sarah Starcovic (graduate from Fairmont State University), is a key researcher on the project within the lab of Dr. Aaron Robart.
