The 2023 Legislative Session.
Some interesting bills are stirring up around the West Virginia capital building, one being drafted by our very own Student Scholar, Ashlea Krasnansky. Krasnansky along with a few other policy advocates across the state is working to make housing more fair and available. Their policy would ban source of income discrimination and allocate 1% of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to the West Virginia Housing Development Fund (WVHDF). If you’d like to learn more about the policy, visit www.advancewvhousing.info or follow them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100089257000919!
Krasnansky urges those who support the initiative or that have questions or concerns to send an email to wvfairhousingandavailability@gmail.com, message the group on Facebook, or leave a note on the Contact Us page of the site.
