Dr. Marjorie Darrah

Marjorie Darrah, PhD is a Professor and the Chair of the Mathematics Department at WVU. She holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Education (7-12 Math Specialization). She has over 25 years of experience in higher education and 11 years of experience working with K-12 outreach programs. Among her accomplishments, Dr. Darrah was the Principal Investigator on three National Science Foundation awards that focused on developing educational technology and increasing the pipeline to IT careers. She received a US Department of Education FastTrack SBIR two and a half year award to develop immersive software for students who are visually impaired and blind. She has been the external and internal evaluator of over twenty local, state and national level education grants focusing on technology integration, educational technology development, and general program evaluation. She serves as a qualitative researcher on the NSF INCLUDES Alliance: Expanding the First2 STEM Success Network Project.
