Campus Updates week ending 2/16/24

Blue Ridge CTC – First Club meeting was today, working to plan a Dinner with the Dean / It faculty for early march, as well as hosted a Dune Movie night which had a handful of people get together to watch a showing of Dune Part 1, plans for 2 other dune showings as well.

Fairmont State- At the last meeting we had Bri from the Lead Center talk to the club about the different resources that the center holds. We went over possibly doing a trip as a club; looking into maybe going to COSI. We also met all of the new STAR grant students.

Glenville: We just had another campus club meeting discussing our PDSA and our event that coincided with that. We are establishing new scholars, as well as planning out our future events other than the event with students and professors.

Marshall: Donut with the Deans went well. We had a few scholars help out. We finished up our last campus club PDSA, and have started working on this semester’s.

University of Charleston- Students met this week for valentines day donuts and information about our leadership training club that we are hosting on the 20th of February. We met with Sue Ann to close our impromptu lecture PDSA and got coaching for our BINGO night PDSA. We are very excited to host BINGO and are also excited to host another impromptu lecture in April.

WVU- Our last meeting featured various volunteering opportunities for students both on and off campus. We are planning on having a study meeting next week.

WVU Tech We held our fifth meeting this past Thursday. We are underway with a new PDSA on factors impacting first-generation students, and next week we are going ax throwing for group bonding in our Institutional team.
