I grew up in Georgia majored in Physics & Astronomy at the University of Georgia. Then I moved to Bozeman, Montana, where I earned my PhD in Physics with a focus on physics education. My thesis was on student understanding of gravity. I worked as the Public Education Specialist at the Green Bank Observatory from 2013-2016, where I founded the West Virginia Science Public Outreach Team (SPOT). I now primarily teach introductory astronomy at West Virginia University and manage the WVU Planetarium.
